The Marche region evokes images of lush green countryside, creative artisans, small, enchanting hamlets and deep-rooted traditions. This backdrop, a thriving territory that produces fine DOC wines (registered designation of origin) and where the countryside has since olden days, always been fertile and generous, led to the foundation of COMPAT - a consortium whose aim is to promote the top food and wine products of the Marche on the international market. COMPAT does not operate by purchasing products from consortium members and then reselling them.

On the contrary, members work together as a consortium to promote their products and sell them directly to overseas markets that would otherwise be difficult for them to reach. The objective that these small and medium-sized agricultural and food companies have set themselves is to promote the typical local products of the Marche, maintaining top-quality traditional production and introducing it onto overseas markets.

COMPAT introduces the top-quality food products of the Marche to the world

The companies that make up the COMPAT consortium are not high-flying industries with large premises, but rather small artisan workshops that make quality products, carefully monitoring all production phases. In other words, companies that have rediscovered the traditional processing methods and recipes that “grandma” used and that aim to once again offer the genuine forgotten flavours of local culinary tradition.

This is because their production is founded on a deep nowledge and respect for the resources of the countryside and an extremely close relationship with the territory they operate in. It is precisely this indissoluble link between the typicality of the products and the territory they are produced in that makes them “first-rate products” in the panorama of Italian food and wine culture.
