Corradini

THE COMPANY
The italian olive oil traditions of the Frantoio Corradini mill date back to 1930. The mill continued to improve and expand until 1999 when, thanks to considerable investment, a more modern and efficient olive pressing line was installed. The Frantoio Corradini mill is in Mogliano, a small village in the Province of Macerata in the Marche, an area considered by many to be “the land of harmony”. The typical climate of the hills of the Marche, which are closely bound by the sea and the mountains, is the fundamental requirement for the cultivation of olives that are produced in small quantities, but that have highly specific characteristics.

Along with the experience of generations of mill workers the top-quality olives, which are all grown in Italy, meticulously checked when picked and then processed using modern technology, produce superior-quality olive oil with an intense fragrance and a distinctive flavour.
PRODUCTION
In order to produce olive oil, it is necessary to start by pruning the trees. As in the past, this phase is carried out with great passion and patience at just the right moment. Picking is another key phase and is always done by hand and with great care, in order to protect both the tree and its fruit. Twenty-four hours after harvesting, the olives are pressed using a high-tech system that guarantees mechanical cold pressing. Thanks to this process it is possible to obtain superior oil with extremely low acidity levels. It has a fruity flavour with a strong, bitter aftertaste. It is golden, with hints of green, and has a variety of fragrances.

This is a product that satisfies even leading experts and never fails to surprise top food connoisseurs, enchanted at the opportunity to rediscover the fragrances and genuine flavours of rural tradition.
Recently, the company has attempted to promote the characteristics of an autochthonous variety of olive from Mogliano called “Piantone di Mogliano”. This aim is to exalt the quality of this autochthonous variety, starting with its history, the characteristics of the tree and the quality of the olive, both as a fruit and in terms of the oil produced and how the latter can best be used.
