Villa Forano |
THE COMPANY
Villa Forano farm stands 300 metres above sea level, dominating the landscape of the Piceno area. It is one of the Lucangeli farms, where the cultivation of vines and subsequent wine-making have been carried out with great passion for decades.

The wine cellar is situated entirely underground, where an ancient cave houses the best vintages. Next to the old barrel-storage cellar there are another two cellars that also benefit from the constant natural temperature, ambient and humidity levels that guarantee excellent ageing conditions. |
PRODUCTION
Due to its nature and position, Villa Forano farmland is ideal for producing wines with particular character. The area’s microclimate is typical of the hilly Adriatic zone, which is cooled by sea breezes. This condition means it is possible to carefully plan every harvest and thanks to the variety of landscapes
cultivated to achieve ideal ripening of the grapes for vinification, with an excellent chemical balance of the relevant musts. The choice of vines has always been based on these premises and the autochthonous varieties planted are those best suited to these particular pedoclimatic conditions. The density of planting is particularly high (75 cm along the row), which means the vines produce fewer grapes with a higher concentration. |
In order to justify the candour of the fine and full-bodied wines produced, which fully express their characteristics after several years of ageing, the production and sale of the wines bottled here is based on a philosophy of vintages.
